To be a fashionista or not be a fashionista that is the question....

Can a Fashionista be a person that is devoted to fashion and labels? Can a fashionista just work in fashion? Can a fashionista be a male or female?

A REAL fashionista does not believe in trends if so that person would be labeled as a fashion whore or a shallow bitch. In today's urban society, "fashionista" is considered not be a negative term but when we look at most shows such as Sex and The City we look at characters like Carrie Bradshaw and we see that being a fashionista has been modernized into a much more positive, powerful and successful role.

Fashionista's look at fashion as a work of art, they feel that they can tell a story through their wardrobe. In our minds we think that fashionista's only work in fashion, but in reality there are some very stylish fashionista's that work in retail, libraries, and schools and even in some government offices. Society says that most females are the ones who hold the crown and the title of being the fashionista's, America has changed so much that females have to share that spotlight with our homosexual males. Is that wrong? Fashion for me isn't about the labels it is about how well you can put things together. When you try to be stylish you can sometimes overdue it and can fail tremendously.

Do some people think that style is a gift? Can you be taught how to be a fashionista? These are the questions that we will probably not know the answers to just because everyone has their own opinion. Trying to maintain a certain style cannot be taught and it can be a task within itself. So basically if you are a fashionista try to stay true to yourself no matter if you are a female or a homosexual, no matter if you work in a big tall government office building try not to be swayed by the labels if you love or like something I say go out and buy it and if you get stereotyped for being a fashionista I say turn around and tell people to kiss your fashionista ass........
